Connecting to Godaddy’s Hosted WordPress directories may not be as cut and dry as they make it out to be. I tried connecting through Atom and got dumped into a root directory with a bunch of folders that didn’t resemble anything I was used to. None of the folders contained anything remotely familiar. Some help pages online said that I needed to go to the usr folder, then the username to access, but no username folders existed in usr.
After speaking with Godaddy, they gave me the actual root folder:
/root/**USERNAME**/html
You need to put that in the “remote” value in the ftpconfig file, changing **USERNAME** with your SFTP username from Godaddy of course.
That will get you to where you want to be!
