It was a year of changes in the music business. Apple iTunes took over online music distribution, while Amazon made a great showing and actually made it work better, and CDs became more and more antiquated. The new distribution methods brought the music to a new level—the years of Publishing-company-pushed mainstream music are on their way out and the era of consumer-based pricing is on its way in.
