Beware of Fraudulent Credit Card Charges by Phony Google Accounts

I recently noticed a big credit card charge from my Google Ads account. The only problem is that I don’t have a Google Ads account (mine were canceled because of some weird circumventing rule).

Evidently, it’s not rare. These scammers get ahold of your credit card info and test the waters so to speak with a little charge. Then go to town with bigger charges.

Evidently there are a lot using the “phone number” 650-253-0000 but it appears people have gotten wise to that so they changed it.

Though it doesn’t need to be stated, it’s important to audit your credit cards constantly!
